What brings Joy???

Joy can come from many different areas of life, including:

  • Relationships Spending time with loved ones, building positive connections with friends, family, colleagues, and your community can bring joy, support, and meaning.

  • Passions and hobbies Engaging in your passions can bring you joy and fulfillment, and make you feel giddy.

  • Self-care Taking care of yourself mentally and physically can bring joy.

  • Gratitude Practicing gratitude can make you happier overall by reminding you to appreciate the good in your life and not take anything for granted.

  • Helping others Volunteering or donating gifts can bring joy by giving you opportunities to help others in need or make someone else feel good.

  • Smiling Smiling can bring joy and keep you in the present. Smiling also has a contagious quality that can influence emotions in others and yourself.

  • Laughter Laughter can increase dopamine and endorphins, which elevate your mood, and oxygenate your body. It can also cool down your stress response systems, producing an overall calm and happy feeling.

  • Finding joy in the little things Allowing yourself to be joyful can make it easier to find joy in the little things.
